Cadence Giersbach creates paintings and sculptures inspired by the materiality of the natural landscape and the human response to that context.

Giersbach has participated in exhibitions in the US and abroad and received awards, including a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Fellowship, a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, and a MacDowell Fellowship. One of her large-scale mosaics, commissioned by Arts for Transit, MTA, is on the ceiling at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues Station in Brooklyn, NY.
