Deitch Projects, 1998
A series of fourteen eight-foot-tall wooden panels, hinged to form screens. These panels were upholstered in white vinyl and painted with scenes of a duplicating and dissolving English garden. The images were derived from a traditional English garden. Drawings from the garden were computer-manipulated in order to heighten the sense of perceptual change that occurred when one location was experienced from different vantage points and in different states of mind. These images enveloped the viewer and intensified the variety of perceptual changes that occurred when one location was over-looked-at.
